EdTech: Start of Changes

     Varied changes occur as time passes by. The demands of society become more dynamic from traditional to modern society. Lots of human aspect engages sudden changes and improvements in order to adapt the modernization of society. And this is the product of technology. Nowadays, it is the basis of the standard of living of the new generation. The new technology is everywhere that even a single matter, it is widely used. Just for instance, the Singapore, Japan, Korea and other countries are rich when it comes to new invented devices for multipurpose.  

     New technology is significantly used not only for business or governance purposes but also in the field of education. Technology has a great impact in teaching and learning process that occurs inside the classroom by means of implying as part of the curriculum; the Educational Technology. this is one of the most important courses offered in college. Students learn in this field the different instructional tools to be used integrated in the methodological process of imparting knowledge. These will serve as the new strategy and techniques for effectiveness of the curriculum, administration and the teachers as well. Educational technology improves the quality and its potential in enriching the skills of the students to familiarize themselves into the capabilities of the application of computers and other instructional tools. Hands-on activities are provided that encourage more the students to learn and to be flexible in adapting the demands of the society.

     Educational technology is a great help in providing the needs of the students especially with a course of Education. It is much better to know earlier how to use and integrate these new instructional tools to be more effective in teaching as future educators. These will help to motivate and engage the students and of course to strengthens teaching and helping school's change. In this course, many skills are developed because of many applications of the computer that are essential to learning such as Microsoft word, excel. power point, video clip, websites and others. These are used for outputs and activities inside the classroom. They help to make an output more presentable and allows the students to be creative. Even in reporting or power point is essential. Although these instructional tools are costly, but the outcomes are great. It is also advisable that as future educators, there must be proper integration of educational technology wherein tools are suited to the goal and objectives of the topic to be discussed.

     Educational technology provides different conceptual models of learning and it is a good thing to know that there are better ways to learn other than rate learning or memorization and that learning is used not only inside the school but also applied in real life. These are meaningful, discovery, generative and constructivism model of learning. As future educators, we are now prepared to see how these theories of learning can be more applied through the integration of Educational Technology in teaching-learning process.
